Mr. Kaushik K. Mehta, Chairman
Mr. Kaushik K. Mehta is Chairman of Eurostar Diamond Traders. Mr. Mehta began his career in 1966 in Coimbatore, India, where he simultaneously managed a jewellery retail store and a small diamond cutting and polishing plant. He travelled to Antwerp, Belgium in 1978 and founded Eurostar Diamond Traders, establishing a diamond manufacturing plant in Kempen, a province of Belgium. The company's status was ascertained in 1984, when Eurostar first joined the prestigious Diamond Trading Company Sightholder List. Eurostar remains headquartered in Antwerp, with advanced cutting and polishing centres in China, Belgium, Botswana, and India, as well as sales offices in Dubai, New York, Mumbai, Hong Kong, and Shanghai. Eurostar employs 10,000 diamond artisans, valuators, and professionals worldwide.
Mr. Mehta is married to Purnima and they have three children and one grandchild. He enjoys travelling, photography, architecture, reading, and spending time with his family in his leisure. Mr. Mehta was recently honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the New York Diamond Dealers Club (DDC). In addition, Mr Mehta is part of the Board of Directors of the Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC).
